Capital Region club becomes a founding member of the new regional competition
COHOES, NY — Spindles United FC has officially announced that the club will compete in the inaugural season of the Upstate Premier League (UPL) this summer, joining fellow Capital Region clubs in a new competition designed to elevate amateur soccer in Upstate New York.
Founded in Cohoes, Spindles United FC has quickly established itself as a competitive and community-driven club in the Capital Region soccer landscape. By joining the Upstate Premier League as a founding member, Spindles United aims to help build a sustainable, high-level platform for amateur players while strengthening local rivalries and expanding opportunities for the region’s soccer community.

Mohawk City FC - Schenectady, NY
Spindles United FC - Cohoes, NY
The league is currently accepting applications to fill the remaining 3 spots to complete the 6-team season.
The Upstate Premier League will launch this summer with a group of founding clubs committed to raising the standard of competition and professionalism in the area. The league’s structure focuses on organized scheduling, club standards, and community engagement while providing a pathway for players and clubs to grow within a regional framework.
