Spindles United FC Defender Ian Maguire is competing in his first Ironman 70.3 in June 2025.

Ian is competing to raise funds for the 2025 Cohoes Soccer Tots, the Youth Fall Clinic run by Spindles United and Cohoes Recreational Soccer in the Fall.

100% of donations raised go to the growth and management of the Cohoes Soccer Tots Clinic.

Ian Maguire is entering his 3rd season with Spindles United FC. He joined the club in 2023.

Ian a graduate of Russel Sage College from 2024, where he was the class Valedictorian. He is currently in Physician Assistant school at Albany Medical College where he plans to graduate in 2026.

He was also a 4-year starter and 2-time captain of the Russell Sage Men’s Soccer team.

He has since transitioned to playing Spindles and now training for his first race. He wants to use this race as an opportunity to grow the game of soccer and provide kids of all ages with an opportunity to play the game he has grown up loving.

Any donation will help provide equipment and other essentials for the Soccer Tots program to continue giving kids of all ages the same opportunities Ian had growing up!
