The new looks Spins started their new campaign off on the right foot with an opening night win on Tuesday, May 9.
Tuesday nights under the lights have returned, with excellent attendance from our supporting fans which helped the Spins put in a quality performance to earn their first win over Highlanders FC.
The team fought hard and came out on top 2-1. John Locicero kicked off the night with a thunderous goal assisted by Jimmy Alexander in the 21st minute.
The guys entered the 2nd half up 1-0 but soon conceded to the Highlanders to make the score level at 1-1.
However, the team persisted and Jimmy Alexander scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute. A beautiful finish from 30 yards out. This capped off his well-deserved Man of the Match Award.
The guys on the pitch were gritty in the final moments and came away with the win at Nott Road.
