Within the last 2 years, Spindles has seen dramatic changes in all areas of the club.
A full rebrand, increased support, and a completely different squad from the first season.
In year 2, more than two-thirds of the squad were new to the club. And this change definitely produced results.
After finishing in 5th place in 2022, with only 2 wins and a first round playoff exit, 2023 was a much more successful season.
The Spins finished 3rd place and made an incredible playoff run all the way to the final before ultimately coming short in a 3-1 loss to Vassi Realty.
Spindles United has many goals off the field. But on the field, the goal is to win more and more. That includes titles.
Coming up short in the final, as well as falling out of the top 2 spots in the league table showed the need for even more improvement to the men's team.
Although dropping points is all part of the game, the club has too high standards not to look for ways to improve and establish "The Spindles Way."
Last year marked my first time as a full-time manager for the men's team. As proud as I am, I know we can continue to build on our success and improve.
And with our second offseason fully underway, it has been no time to break.
With college fall ball in the air, we have spent countless hours communicating and visiting with potential new players for next summer.
Players that we believe would be a great addition to improve the men's team and meet our goals as a grassroots club.
