More chances rolled in for the Spins.
Later in the half, a low corner kick from Anthony Buttofucco found its way to John Locicero for an easy tap-in. 2-0, 30'.
With the momentum in Spindles favor, Buttofucco blew past 2 Highlanders defencemen down the wing and tucked one in the bottom right corner. 3-0, 34'.

Feeling optimistic at the break, the second half became a tougher battle for Spindles.
Highlanders did not give up, pressing all half in the hope for a comeback.
A defensive error at the top of the box gave Highlanders a free shot to make the score 3-1.
With more pressure coming, Spindles conceded a penalty during the referee's stoppage time.
Luckily for the Spins, the spot kick was not enough. Settling the final score at 3-2.
